Description
Three entries in the 1985 Somerset Festival Parade. The first float celebrates the arrival of the Irish in kinkora in 1835. The settlement was known as the “Anderson Road Settlement or Irish Town” and went through Sou’West, Somerset until finally known as kinkora when the railway station was built.
The second entry is the fire truck from the local kinkora Volunteer Fire Department created in 1957.
The third entry is from the neighbouring community of Middleton called “Middleton in Winter” and shows off an old sleigh.
