24 years ago (Nov.21/95), UPEI held a Bard-athon, raising money to help restore the Globe Theatre in London, which had been demolished 350 years earlier. After reading Shakespeare for 12 hours straight, they raised enough money to receive 2 time capsules to fill. Those capsules now rest in the foundations of the Globe Theatre... a little UPEI buried under one of Britain's most celebrated theatres! #ThrowbackThursday #UPEI50 (Photos from Nexus 1996)
