Panorama for Sale: The Bird's Eye Vies of Prince Edward Island

Description
The man worked in haste but with
a certain precision. He stopped in
front of each house and made a few
quick lines in the sketchbook he held,
then strode on to the next building on
the block. Sometimes he would take a
peek behind buildings or stand back to
see how the road curved or how a roofline
looked from a slightly different
angle. Strangely, he seemed more interested
in buildings facing the harbour,
hardly bothering with those
fronting north.
If anyone in the Prince Edward Island
towns of Charlottetown and Summerside
had bothered to follow him, they
would have noticed that he walked
every street in the two communities,
and even strolled out into the country to
gaze at some of the rural estates. It is
more likely that, aside from the casual
glances of a few individuals not concerned
with more important matters or
the questioning stares of idle boys who
seldom missed anything in their neighbourhoods,
no one gave the wandering
sketcher so much as a second glance.
